My research themes are mostly interdisciplinary, amalgamating polymer science, materials design, and engineering with diverse areas of biomedical science. Having a background in Chemistry, particularly in polymer science, and being a trained biomedical researcher, a major focus of my research is to understand the blood-material interface phenomenon and to tune the interfacial properties of materials.
My research interests are particularly electrospun polymeric biomaterials, 3D bioprinting, polymeric medical devices, tissue-engineered constructs, and similar.
I am currently working on a project to design hybrid filter fabrics by electrospinning intended to be used for selective leukodepletion of whole blood.
