As a researcher in a multidisciplinary field like biomaterials, I was always curious to find unmet clinical needs in areas other than my domain. This was further re-inforced  by the interactions with my colleagues who were working on soft and hard tissue engineering.  This slowly raised many questions in my thoughts, that I started reading through them for a few years and eventually came across some exciting and novel ides in this area.
